Bindu Records co-sponsors
Great Leap gala celebration

  • TO ALL RELATIONS '98: FRIDAY, JULY 17, 1998 AT 8 P.M. JAPAN AMERICA THEATRE, 244 SOUTH SAN PEDRO STREET, LOS ANGELES.

Bindu Records will co-sponsor this summer's 20-year anniversary celebration of Great Leap, Inc., one of the most respected and oldest Asian American performing arts companies in the country.

This year marks Great Leap's two decades of service in the arts and community. A gala concert, dubbed "TO ALL RELATIONS '98," will be held in Great Leap's honor on July 17, 1998, at the Japan America Theatre in Los Angeles.

The concert will feature a dynamic collection of artists, including a rare appearance by the legendary Asian American trio Chris Iijima, Nobuko and "Charlie" Chin. The three reunite to share songs from their seminal album, "A Grain of Sand," which Bindu Records recently re-released on CD.

"A Slice of Rice, Frijoles and Greens," a delicious medley of theater, movement and fun-fulled stories that reflect the Asian, Latino and African American experience will feature performers such as Sybil Desta, Amy Hill, Dan Kwong, Bob Devin Jones, Calvin Jung, Louise Mita, Young-Ae Park, Paulina Sahagun, and more.

Release date: 980508
